Target is My One-Stop-Shop for Summer

August 4, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

My favorite place to shop for summer clothes is Target. I love Target because their clothes are always reasonably priced and so cute. Target really has an innovative line of designers, and I can always find something cute for $15 or $20.

I’ve been buying things from this store for a long time, and I’ve gotten really cute dresses, pants, tops, and shoes there. In fact, my favorite pair of flip flops that has been with me for a long time came from Target. And they were on sale for $2!

They also have a decent return policy and I’ve never had a problem returning anything there when I had second thoughts about it.

Planning Your Spring Wardrobe

April 7, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Spring is a wonderful time for fashion, out come all the clothes that were put away in the cold weather, short sleeves, wispy skirts, and sandals, what fun! When planning you spring wardrobe, begin with what you have. Buy pieces that will create outfits with clothes you already have. Buy a dressy T-shirt in this year’s style to go with last year’s skirt. Purchase a new pair of capris that will go with blouses and tops you already have. Treat yourself to a new pair of sandals, nothing pumps up an outfit more than snazzy shoes. And don’t forget accessories. An old outfit can look new with a chunky necklace, dangling earrings or a belt.

STAX

My favourite place to shop for women’s clothing is a New Zealand and Australian store called STAX. It is a store that mainly caters to Professional women, and I find that the cut and designs of their suits and work wear are absolutely beautiful. Best yet, although at full price some of their items are pricey, they are constantly having great sales where you can pick up items at less than half price. I bought my favourite suit there for $150 down from $400, and I am often able to pick up skirts and tops for $19 each. The quality of their products is also very commendable, and I have never had any issues with any of their garments.

Great Glam Clothes Store

My absolute favorite place to buy women’s clothes is from the Great Glam Clothes store. They can be found at www.greatglam.com. Last year between Christmas and New Year’s, I needed to find some nice tops to attend a retreat in. I had no time for shopping and needed to have some new clothes delivered fast. I also find it very hard to shop for myself as I am a plus size person. This online store is awesome with a special section just for plus sized women. When I received my delivery I was very touched that my order was gift wrapped including a bow. It felt like a little present to myself. At the retreat everyone was asking me where I got such nice tops from. I was happy to tell them about Great Glam!

Women’s Fashion Tips

I want to share some fashion tips that work for me. Wear only what makes you comfortable. Because if you are not comfortable in the dress or make up that you are wearing, you will not be able to carry yourself well. If you are overweight, wear clothes that hide your bulges well. Too loose or too tight clothes will not look good on you. Get a dress with a nip lower at waist. Do not wear a very deep neck. Stick to V-neck or turtle neck that emphasizes your face instead o your heavy bosom. Wear tops that end up near the broadest part of your hips. Wear the color that suits you the most. Dark colors make you look slimmer. No need to follow the trend. Make your own fashion statement by choosing wisely.
