Colorful Billabong Swimsuit
August 24, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
I like to wear swimsuits that are colorful. My favorite brand is billabong. Usually I wear swimsuits to the beach, but sometimes I just wear them in my backyard to tan. Usually I get my swimsuits at the mall. They are good quality there and the prices are reasonable. Also, I find that swimsuits that are smaller are more comfortable. That sometimes makes my husband uncomfortable though when I go out like that in public. My girl friends like my swimsuits a lot though. They think it makes me look younger and more attractive. Sometimes when I just want to relax and blend in I wear a plain swimsuit though.
My Perfect Little Hat

I used to work in a coffee shop and because of the health codes, we all had to wear some sort of headwear to keep our hair back. Everyone just wore baseball caps or bandannas but I rummaged through all the thrift stores until I found the perfect little hat. It’s an eggshell color and woven, almost like a really delicate wicker. It’s got just a little bit of a lid on it so it’s great for wearing out in the sun too and I end up wearing it all summer. There’s a little bow near the brim too that makes it just too adorable. And the totally neutral color means I can wear it with basically any outfit.
Summer Hair Styles for Middle-Aged Women
August 13, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
As a middle aged woman with long hair, I tend to wear my hair up a lot during the summer. Pony-tails or informal up-do’s are my most usual styles. The informal up-do’s can be created in a variety of ways, from piling hair upon the top of one’s head, and using a barrette to hold the hair up, letting the ends fall back down, but much higher and off of my neck, to gathering all of my hair high, twisting it back onto its self and utilizing a claw to hold it in place. I also tend to use fewer hair care products during the summer, opting instead to use the wash-and-go approach, and letting the summer sun give me natural highlights, while keeping my scalp cooler longer from the wet hair.
Dress Age/Body Appropriate

The biggest fashion tip I would give out to women for summertime fashion is to dress for the weather, but make sure you stay age/body appropriate. There are far too many women who are wearing clothes they should have stopped wearing thirty years ago. Also, people often forget when buying clothes or bikinis that they are buying for their own body, not the mannequin the article of clothing came off of. This includes old women wearing string bikinis, overweight women squeezing into skin tight shorts and belly shirts, and many other mistakes in fashion. Just because you are older now, and a trend has passed you by doesnít mean you have to pass it up completely. Take friends with you when you shop that you know will be honest, so they can let you know when you are close to crossing the line into having people stare at you for hours when you are trying to enjoy a lunch with your children. I believe the same thing goes about dressing for your body. If you are short, there are certain clothes that just don’t work for you. Many dresses need to be altered so they hang on your body the correct way, and don’t slip down too far past your knees resulting in a fall look instead of a summer one. Almost anything can be tailored for your body. Please remember to buy the right size clothing as well, instead of trying to fit into something that may have fit you before you had a child. With those two simple tips, I think any woman can have the right style that suits them this summer.
Scarves are in This Season

If you’re a bit of a fashionista who likes to keep up on current fashion trends, then a good tip to be in style for this summer is to wear colorful scarves. Either tied around your wrist, hair, or neck, bright scarves are very in this season, and is a cheap way to pull together summer outfits together so that they appear playful without being gaudy. Thiss is especially helpful if you’ve got drab looking last season clothes like I do. Tying a scarf around your hair is also a good alternative to hats if you’re not particularly fond of hat hair.
Thong Sandals are My Favorite Summer Shoe

My favourite summer shoes.. would be ‘thongs’ – they have many names : ‘thongs’ in Australian (which sometimes raises eyebrows if you’re speaking to people from overseas), ‘flip flops’ in the UK, and ‘jandals’ if you are from New Zealand . My thongs are very comfortable and are now molded to the shape of my foot. They allow my feet to breathe and make a nice click, click sound when I walk. I prefer black thongs as they match all of my clothes, but some people like to wear brightly coloured ones. When I put on my thongs, I remember my childhood – playing in the streets with the neighbourhood kids and riding our bikes around town. Also, of daytrips and holidays to the beach. You need a pair of thongs to go to the Australian beaches, because the sand is very hot, and the thongs stop you from burning your feet! I wear my thongs with jeans, long pants, shorts, skirts and dresses – anything and everything really!
Georgette Sundresses for Summer
July 30, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
I am a tall slim lady and I have always had this urge of wearing a georgette summer dress every summer season because it fits to perfection. So I took a pen a paper and put it into words how I felt about summer clothing for women particularly the georgette dress because I believe in wearing innovative fashion apparel all the time.
The article speaks of georgette being one of the most lightweight and ventilated fabric, it becomes the natural choice to make some comfortable sundresses. This only appears on only slim figures. Georgette dresses are available in a number of colours suitable for summer.
I got this from article base as it brings the clear view of a georgette dress. I love bright colours for summer and pink touches the utmost part of my heart. My family first thought that it was a whole lot of crap but after publishing it on the newspaper I was amazed by the applauding voices from my friends. I conclude that my friends like it despite the fact that my family made fun of it.
Levis 515’s

My favorite jeans to wear any time of the year are Levi’s 515’s. I really like the fit because they don’t ride up on my waist, but they’re not too low either. They’re not baggy on my thighs, which is a problem I have with some other brands of jeans. The amount of stretch they have makes them very comfortable to wear, and the fabric isn’t real heavy. I feel that they make me look thinner, which is always good! I’ve also had people tell me that I look good when I’m wearing them.
I wear jeans to a lot of places that I go. I like Levi’s because they don’t look “tacky.” Even though I’m dressed casually when I wear them I feel that they look good whether I’m wearing a T-shirt or a nice top.
Two Words: Strappy Sandals
July 28, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Summer is just around the corner, ladies- and we know that means two words (no, not “bikini season,” people do occasionally wear actual clothing during summer, shocker!)… strappy sandals! Like Carrie Bradshaw, I long to wear strappy sandals all winter long, and alas, the time for open toed shoes is finally upon us. Gladiator sandals and variations on it are back in style this summer, (and you thought that was a fad!) so the more straps the better. Just remember to keep those toenails neat and painted, we all know beautiful shoes deserve beautiful feet. That also means trying on shoes thoroughly to make sure they aren’t creating friction that will result in nasty blisters and lesions. Foot injuries are never in style, so even if they may be gorgeous shoes, they are worthless if you can’t walk in them without limping. Comfort + fashion = bliss.
Theres Something About a Baseball Cap on a Summer Day
July 26, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
My favorite hat for the summer hat got to be my Miami Hurricanes baseball cap. I got it from the store Lids in the mall for about $15. Now I’m not a big hat girl, but there’s something about a baseball cap on a summer day that just works. It can be paired with anything from jeans and a t-shirt to more feminine capris and a cardigan. I normally wear mine hanging outside on a nice sunny day or spending a couple hours out on the farm. As baseball is a spring/summer sport I imagine most people agree when I say that a baseball cap is the best summer hat. It’s even better if its your team on the front.
