Flats are My First Choice for Summer Shoes
July 23, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
About three years ago, I used to wear high heels all the time. I used them to go to school, to go to work, to go out on weekends, everyday everywhere. Then, one day, I fell down the stairs and broke my ankle (ha!) and I was forced to wear a cast for about three weeks.
When the cast was finally removed I was still in a lot of pain so I wasn’t able to wear heels so I went and bought my first pair of flats. I’m a short girl so I wasn’t keen on wearing those types of shoes; in fact, I kind of hated them as much as I hated tennis shoes. Having to go to ankle therapy and not being able to walk at all forced me to go and buy the flats. The ones I bought were a really cute black pair with a little shiny elbow on top. I started using this shoes quite often and slowly realized that I loved the fact that I was able to walk for long periods of times without getting tired, falling down the stairs, hurting my feet and that I was now even able to run when I was late for class or work!.
Since then, flats have been my first choice for summer shoes. I have a lot of pairs now and especially like the ones that have those really small heels with your toes showing in front. They are quite comfortable, cute and there are models for all kinds of clothes. Ever since then I’ve said goodbye to the high heels and started wearing the ever trendy flats.
I Highly Recommed Not Wearing Anything Too Fitted in the Summer
July 17, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
During the Summer Time, I highly recommend not wearing anything too fitted. Tank tops are okay, but sometimes they grip your body in an unpleasing way, and make you look larger than you actually are. Most women are not abruptly skinny, and cannot fashionably pull off just wearing a tank and jeans. Loose tanks, which do not hug your body, are a good call here. I highly recommend wearing loose t-shirts, or blouses which do not hug your body, and give you breathing room. I also recommend wearing a loose shirt-dress with leggings, and flats. Socks and shoes are not a good call in the summer.
Empire Style Spring-Summer Dress

I have a spring/summer dress that has spaghetti straps. It is in the empire style and it comes down right below the knees with a floral print of different shade of pink and maroon flowers on and ivory background that I love. It is made out of 100% cotton and washes and dries easily and leaves very little ironing. It can be for just a walk in the park or for a wedding depending on the shoes and other accessories that are worn with it. I purchased it a JC Penney’s two years ago and it is one of those dresses that doesn’t age with time. It’s the most comfortable dress that I’ve ever worn and if I could ever find another one like it I would buy it in a heartbeat.
White Converse Style Trainers

My most unique article of clothing was given to me as a present for my 18th birthday. My friend bought a pair of white converse-style trainers from Primark and drew pictures and words related to in-jokes between us and events we attended together in bright colours all over the trainer. My friends and family love my trainers, as they are completely original – there is no-one in the world who will have exactly the same trainer. The only restriction with the trainer is that I cannot wear them if its going to rain, as I did this once and some of the colour smudged. But aside from this, they are definitely the most unique article of clothing I own.
Kohl’s Work Clothing for Women

My favorite clothing store is Kohl’s Department Store. I like this store because they have good prices and a wide variety of styles. I purchase a lot of work clothing such as dress pants and dress blouses, along with jeans and a lot of shoes. They have a wonderful selection of shoes from athletics to sandals to boots and they are very reasonably priced. I also have purchased some home decorations such a pictures and photo frames, as also here they have a large variety of prices, styles and sizes. I usually shop there about once every two weeks to see what new things they have in, as they add to their lines all the time and add new variety. I enjoy shopping at Kohl’s as you can find this department store in about every city in the Midwest.

My favorite place to shop for woman clothes and accessories is indefinitely online shopping sites. Why? Well because I can find different brands ranging from low end pieces to designer deals easily, also the selection and choice online is way better than what you find in store. One of my favorite websites is www.shopbop.com, I just love the mix they carry, from designer jeans, the core basic, great leather accessories, shoes and then the high end designer fashion. You can also get good deals and discount as online websites always have some kind of discount codes going around. Shopbop also provides free standard shipping and a very flexible return and exchange policy, so it’s basically shopping from the comfort of your own home without the mall crowds or any sales assistants breathing down your necks.

Womans Winter Fashion

I find the easiest way to get into fashion in the winter season without having to go over budget is to get buy some stylish jackets and stylish boots. You normally are so bundled up during the winter season that the only real fashion statements come from your shoes, jackets, scarves and maybe a winter hat. It’s so easy to buy scarves in the most popular fashion colors too. They also have so many patterns with a variety of colors so they are easy to match with your jacket. They are inexpensive and such a powerful fashion statement. I have a variety of winter coats that are very fashionable. I like the bold colors with the unique buttons. Also, who says you cant wear dresses during winter? You can invest in a few pair of thick stockings and pair them with a great pair of shoes. I prefer black stockings with a pair of heavy black shoes.
Shopping at Marshall’s

My favorite place to shop for women’s clothes is Marshalls, because I can get quality, stylish clothes for less. It is a huge store so I can maneuver around easily with my shopping cart. The dressing rooms are plentiful and clean. Marshalls carries name brand clothes, shoes, accessories pots and pans, dishes, and small appliances at a reduced price. Recently I’ve purchased several Lillyette support/minimizer bras there for less than $10.00 each, I bought Nine West dress shoes for about $9.00, and a set of Emeril cookware for about $50.00. I bought my daughter tops and shorts in the current style but I don’t remember the brand names, but each item was around $11.00. Middle class customers are very happy to shop there, but I’ve seen upper class people in the store (also there were BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus automobiles in the parking lot). Even folks without much disposable income could shop there without straining their budget. Marshalls not only has low prices in general, but they have lots of clearance racks for even greater savings. I haven’t seen them advertise but I do get their newsletters to keep me informed about their merchandise.
