Kohl’s Department Store

Kohl’s is my favorite department store to shop for women’s clothing because they always have amazing sales going on. They also have my favorite brands and styles. Kohl’s carries casual, business, and evening wear clothing for women. I am the kind of shopper who shops for an occasion. I can always find something to fit what I’m looking for when I go to Kohl’s. They have a very large selection in a variety of sizes too. The store usually has the most up-to-date fashions. There clearance racks offer some super deals at the end of the seasons too. My charge card at Kohl’s lets me buy clothing even when I’m short on cash at the time I need something.
Hanes Her Way online store

JustMySize.com is my favorite online store for women’s clothing. It is the Hanes Her Way online store for plus size women. They also send out catalogs for those who like to shop that way. I watch for sales on the underwear I prefer. I have also purchased pullover summer shirts from them at very reasonable prices. Catch one of their sales to find shirts for under $20. They are nice enough for casual wear but comfortable for relaxing at home. I have purchased pants for my teenage daughter. Again, the prices are very reasonable and the product comfortable and well constructed. The site has a link to the men’s Hanes site. All purchases at the different Hanes sites can be paid with one combined payment.
How to dress this spring
March 3, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Spring brings with it an air of freshness that exhilarates us instantly. If we feel good than we should look good too. This spring we should wear more feminine cloths and here are my ideas of colors, cloths and accessories that should be must-have of this season:
- Retro-skirts, skirts that have a high waist, and the form of a flower
- Floral prints, flowers start to bloom, why shouldn’t we bloom too?
- Vaporous and transparent, siphon material is ideal for this season. Because it’s very easy and cool, you will feel loved and spoiled by your own outfit.
- The jewelry worn should of metals like copper, silver or gold.
- The colors of this season should be the light ones, for example light violet, olive green, jade green, etc.
- XXL handbags are the perfect choice.
Express Jeans

My favorite place to shop is Express. I love many of their clothes. I am six feet tall and find it is hard to get jeans long enough. Express Long Jeans are plenty long enough. I also have large thighs (soccer thighs) and a smaller waist. These jeans fit perfect. There shirts are great too. They have long enough sleeves and look nice. The dress clothes there are well made and look very professional. I only buy my jeans there. The jean I buy average 60 dollars a pair. They have a newer line that are nicer but do not fit me as well, they are over 100 dollars a pair. I think it is worth the extra money and the jeans last forever.
Black Windbreaker

My favorite article of spring clothing is a black windbreaker I purchased a few years ago at what used to be Hecht’s (they are now Macy’s). It has a lightweight hood that is rolled up and stored in a zippered compartment around the collar, so your head is always protected if you find yourself in a spring rain. The windbreaker is made of a rain-repellant nylon-type fabric that is 100% machine washable. There are two front slash pockets with zippers and the front of the windbreaker has a long zipper plus a set of snaps. It really protects you in the wind and rain but is light enough to fold up and stuff in your purse if you don’t want to wear it.
I think it cost me about $25 when I first bought it and it was worth every penny. I probably should have bought one in white or red when I had the chance. I have not seen one like it in years, so I’m going to make sure I take good care of the one I have. I wear it everywhere I go during the spring months and if I’m not actually wearing it, I have it folded up in my purse.
Catherine’s Specialty Clothing Store
March 1, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Catherine’s is a womens specialty clothing store where I can buy something casual, like jeans, resort wear or a bathing suit; or something appropriate for work, like a jacketed dress or career separates; or just about anything in between. Many of the designer lines represented at the store (Liz ‘n Me, Goddess, Maggie Barnes) may be available elsewhere, but I have never found all of them together anywhere else. So it can be a lot like “one stop shopping” for a variety of outfits for different occasions. Catherine’s has a rewards program called “Perks” that offers 10% off purchases, with additional percent-off opportunities offered during the year. If you join their mailing list, they will even send you “gift cheques” (dollars-off coupons) that increase in value with the amount of your purchase.
Thrift Stores

My favorite place to shop for women’s clothing is the thrift store. I can buy designer clothes there without paying a designer price. They have separate racks of the better quality clothes that are in better-than-usual condition and often I have seen brand-new clothing at the thrift shop. I like to wear conservative clothing and I can find dresses that I like and pants that are comfortable. Also, when I gain or lose weight, I can get a big piece of a new-to-me wardrobe for under $20. Sometimes I have to have clothing for special occasions; for instance, our Vacation Bible School had a Hawaiian theme this year. I went to the thrift shop and got a Hawaiian shirt I could wear for that. It’s fun to shop at a place where you can buy the things you like without worrying about how much you are spending.

Michael Kors Pumps

My favorite piece of clothing is my Michael Kors pumps that I purchased 5 years ago at Nordstrom. The simplistic design and neutral tan color make for the most versatile shoe I have ever owned. Not to mention the straps that hugs the body of the foot and provides just enough sexiness to walk a little taller. Perhaps the most surprising quality of the Michael Kors are the cushion interior which are always comfortable and provide for an easy walk in the high heeled shoes. I can wear these shoes for any type of occasion from work to girls’ night out and even for a hot date on the town. Even the most basic outfits are jazzed up with this wonderful pair of shoes.
