Shopping at the Rave

My favorite place to shop is at my local mall, a store called “Rave” They always seem to have the cutest clothes. They also tend to have wonderful accessories to go with anything and everything. I always stop in for a quick look whenever I go and the sales girl is always polite and willing to help if I ask. I bought 2 skirts and a few tops just last week, when payday arrives this week I plan to go back and buy these cute sunglasses I saw but couldn’t bring myself to splurge on last time. If I didn’t have to pay rent I’d probably buy out most of the store if I could!
New York & Company is My Favorite Place to Shop
February 4, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
My absolute favorite store for women’s clothing is New York and Company. They offer a wide variety of classic, trendy, and sophisticated clothing for women. There are too many stores that only cater to teens or grandmothers. This store really aims to dress women who want a polished sexy look, not like they raided their daughter’s closet. They can complete a woman’s wardrobe from the basic casual wear or a great pair of jeans to the essential little black dress. With a wide range of sizes, from 0-18, petite to talls, they offer something for everyone. The sales staff at New York and Company’s stores are helpful in finding sizes or helping pick just the right accessories. They really add that personal touch to your shopping experience. The best reason to shop there, they offer awesome coupons in the mail. My last trip I bought $150 worth of clothes and used my $75 off coupon. I get great offers like these at least 6 times a year! It’s perfect for updating my wardrobe for different seasons or just to splurge! You’ve got to love that.
Shopping at Marshall’s

My favorite place to shop for women’s clothes is Marshalls, because I can get quality, stylish clothes for less. It is a huge store so I can maneuver around easily with my shopping cart. The dressing rooms are plentiful and clean. Marshalls carries name brand clothes, shoes, accessories pots and pans, dishes, and small appliances at a reduced price. Recently I’ve purchased several Lillyette support/minimizer bras there for less than $10.00 each, I bought Nine West dress shoes for about $9.00, and a set of Emeril cookware for about $50.00. I bought my daughter tops and shorts in the current style but I don’t remember the brand names, but each item was around $11.00. Middle class customers are very happy to shop there, but I’ve seen upper class people in the store (also there were BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus automobiles in the parking lot). Even folks without much disposable income could shop there without straining their budget. Marshalls not only has low prices in general, but they have lots of clearance racks for even greater savings. I haven’t seen them advertise but I do get their newsletters to keep me informed about their merchandise.
Gujaratie Style Sari

I am an Asian. I love the sari draped by women in our region. Sari is a traditional item of clothing which women have been wearing since quite long. I wear a sari on different occasions like when I have some relatives visiting me. Sari is such attire which makes all women look good irrespective of their figure. Sari covers all the physical faults of your body and gives a graceful look. There are different ways of draping a sari and the main two are the Gujarati style and the Bengali style. Fashion designers now days come up with many ways of draping a sari and some are complicated but look very good on women. The accessories which can be used with the sari are many. From hair ornaments to the toes on your feet you have many ornaments or accessories to wear. You can select those which suit you best.
Stein Mart

Stein Mart is my favorite place to shop. It has very nice clothes ranging from casual to formal. There is a little boutique section which has very cool outfits. The store also carries accessories, shoes, gifts, linens. All clothes are not expensive but nice and unique. Best of all, they have sales very often. You can get 20% off of their already 50% or 75% of items. So for a $50.00 piece of item, you only need to pay about $10.00 after all the discount. I just got a very nice jacket for $10.00 there. The costumers seem from up-middle class families. The store also carries man’s name brand clothes at discount pieces. I always get them for my husband and my son when I go shopping for myself.
My Style
My style is to match everything I want my colors to match, the name brands to match, and the style to match. If I’m wearing a pink and black top made by Baby Phat, then I need pink and black bottoms from Baby Phat. Every outfit I have must include accessories. I like to have earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, headbands & hair ties, and again all the colors must match. With every matched outfit I make sure I have a purse or coach to go along with it. In this case it would be a Baby Phat pink and black purse. I even like to make sure the shoes match as well, and yes, those would be pink and black Baby Phat as well. Then last but not least I like to match the make up to the colors of the clothing. I know it sounds like a difficult outfit to put together, but if you shop like me then you have no problems finding what you need. Nothing gets in my way for fashion.
Women’s Bargain Shopping

I’m a bargain shopper. I don’t deny it. I was raised by the best, who could smell a ‘clearance’ rack from a mile away. I like to shop at department stores for simple items, such as button-down shirts for work, mid-length solid skirts and blue jeans. I used to frequent JC Penney, but now I’m more a fan of Kohls and Target. Target is especially great for colorful, affordable accessories and colorful, affordable shoes. Kohls has more of a selection in the clothing department, and I’m fond of their sweater-tights. All of these places have sales or deals pretty regularly, and always have a ‘clearance’ rack.
I Love to Shop at the Mall

My favorite place to shop for women’s clothes is a mall. There are many shops in a mall and I can check clothes at different shops if I don’t like something in one shop. My favorite shop is one where there is a mix of traditional, ethnic, formal and informal wear. Since this shop has all types of clothes available under the same roof I almost end up buying something even when I don’t need to shop. My recent purchase was a pair of jeans but since I could not resist myself I went ahead and bought some cotton material which was very pretty. The color combination and the material in itself were very good to tempt me to buy it. The shop stocks some accessories like belts, scarves, imitation jewelry and I bought one belt for myself.

The Little Black Dress
September 29, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
My favorite piece of clothing that I own is my little black dress that I purchased at Victoria Secrets. Every year I was tired of trying to find something to wear to a Christmas Even or formal Christmas Party. I was spending lots of money on things that I would only wear one time. So a friend of mine suggested that I get a little black dress to wear to Christmas parties and events and I would only have to search for accessories and shoes. It was a wonderful idea. I am not a dress person and it’s very hard for me to purchases dresses. I went into Victoria Secrets and got the 5 way black dresses. I can wear the straps five different ways. So if I have 3 Christmas parties to attend then it will always look different. I usually go to Payless shoes and find some shoes to go with it and always wear different shoes. I then shop around for different accessories and no one really notices that it is the same dress.
