My favorite piece of spring clothing for women

March 8, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Being a woman, I am very much concerned about my attire. I have a deep passion for a rich variety of clothing that I could drape on myself. In Spring, I would like to wear short skirts and tank tops because Spring is the season which comes immediately after winter, the horrible season where we always need to wear our jackets, gloves, hoods and boots.

Spring is an excellent season bringing relief to us from the jackets. I always love to wear short skirts and tank tops as I feel myself comfortable with them. Generally I do shop at a variety of places. But the place where I frequently go is the JCPenney.

Clothes that I buy at JCPenney are really worth for their excellent quality and lifetime. Recently I bought a few skirts in JCPenney, their prices ranging between $25 – $55. The tank tops were damn cheap there because there was a Clearance sale and I made use of the excellent opportunity. I bought a few tank tops ranging between $9 to $15.

Khaki Capris at JCPenney

My favorite article of clothing for spring is my khaki capris. I purchased my khaki capris at JCPenney’s in the petite section. My khaki capris are my favorite article of clothing for several reasons. First, they look good with a t-shirt and flip-flops for casual wear. Second, they look good with dress shoes and a blouse for dressier wear. Third, they are flexible enough to wear on my walks with a windbreaker and my Ked’s. Finally, I can wear just about any color I want with my khaki capris. With my busy lifestyle any article of clothing that is this flexible gets to live in my wardrobe for a long time.

Spring Sundresses

I really like to wear lightweight sundresses in the spring. Even though the temperature in the early spring can still be a little brisk, it still feels great to put on a fun little dress and step out in those rays. My favorite is a yellow lightly floral patterned cotton dress with spaghetti straps. It comes to just above my knees and is mildly figure slimming.

I love the way it makes me feel and look forward to the chances I get to put it on every year. It was a great $20 buy a few years back and when winter comes around I’m sad to have to push it into the back of the closet for the season.

How to dress this spring

Spring brings with it an air of freshness that exhilarates us instantly.  If we feel good than we should look good too. This spring we should wear more feminine cloths and here are my ideas of colors, cloths and accessories that should be must-have of this season:

- Retro-skirts, skirts that have a high waist, and the form of a flower

- Floral prints, flowers start to bloom, why shouldn’t we bloom too?

- Vaporous and transparent, siphon material is ideal for this season. Because it’s very easy and cool, you will feel loved and spoiled by your own outfit.

- The jewelry worn should of metals like copper, silver or gold.

- The colors of this season should be the light ones, for example light violet, olive green, jade green, etc.

- XXL handbags are the perfect choice.

Springtime Fashions

Coming as it does after a serious winter season, the colors of springtime fashions, especially in the Northern part of the country, should reflect shades that delight the senses, are light and fresh, and are reminiscent of spring flowers. This spring, especially, ruffles will be making an appearance. Ruffles fit into spring with their soft appearance and airy style. The yellows, the pale greens, the light blues, are good colors for springtime and, if you want to be more monochromatic but still look like springtime, try soft tans or pale greys. Of course, you can always actually choose floral patterns rather than floral colors. The color and style of the print should reflect softness. So, do be careful that the pattern and shade of the flowers are not too harsh or bright.

Black Windbreaker

My favorite article of spring clothing is a black windbreaker I purchased a few years ago at what used to be Hecht’s (they are now Macy’s). It has a lightweight hood that is rolled up and stored in a zippered compartment around the collar, so your head is always protected if you find yourself in a spring rain. The windbreaker is made of a rain-repellant nylon-type fabric that is 100% machine washable. There are two front slash pockets with zippers and the front of the windbreaker has a long zipper plus a set of snaps. It really protects you in the wind and rain but is light enough to fold up and stuff in your purse if you don’t want to wear it.

I think it cost me about $25 when I first bought it and it was worth every penny. I probably should have bought one in white or red when I had the chance. I have not seen one like it in years, so I’m going to make sure I take good care of the one I have. I wear it everywhere I go during the spring months and if I’m not actually wearing it, I have it folded up in my purse.
