Sleeveless Vintage Summer Dress

July 4, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

My favorite summer dress is a vintage dress I got at a local thrift shop called The Attic. It was originally from Talbots. Its sleeveless, with a scoop neck, and a long skinny row of buttons down the front. It has a snug, wide band of elastic at the natural waist. The wide skirt comes down to just below my knees. Its plain white. In the hot weather, its very cool and comfortable. The vintage style makes me feel very feminine, and the tight waist makes me look very curvy without being uncomfortable. The plain white color can be jazzed up with bright accessories for a fun look or paired with classics for a timeless look.

Pink Chiffon Sari

I simply love my pink chiffon sari. It is a soft pink with silver sequins in it I wear this to formal parties. Its blouse is sleeveless and low back. Pink reflects on my skin making me look soft and feminine. My husband bought this for me after we got possession of our house. For last two years we were very thrifty as we were paying installment for the house. I was cutting corners where ever possible. So this sari was my first good formal wear in a long time. And I was surprised and elated when my husband drove me to the sari shop and asked me to choose one for myself. I remember picking up an ordinary cotton sari. I almost cried when my husband picked up this sari and draped on my shoulder and asked how about this.
