My absolute favorite piece of spring clothing is Capri pants!

I am perfectly happy wearing a Capri March through September! I hate my legs, as many women do, and refuse to torture the world by slipping on a pair of shorts as the weather warms up. But I am NOT going to wear long pants all year ‘round. When the Capri started making its comeback a few years ago, I was in hog heaven! I just love the versatility. I am a preschool teacher and work in a field where I am up and down, moving all around, have to dress casual and comfy, have to be able to handle spills and splats, but I’d like to look kind of hip doing it, too. With a Capri at work, I can roll up my favorite jean and wear it with a t-shirt or tank and flip-flops or deck shoes. For out and about or running errands on my day off, I can wear a khaki Capri and throw a short denim coat over my top with a cute pair of sandals. Or if I’m heading out to dinner and a movie with my hubby, I can put on a nicer quality black Capri with a button up dress shirt and a cute heel. And even when I am just cleaning my house, I can throw on my scruffy ACDC t-shirt and my old paint and grease covered carpenter jeans that I’ve cut off at mid-calf and still stay cool in the warmer weather. I just love a great Capri!

Pedi and some Cute Sandals

Once the snow melts, most woman run for their wedges and heels. But there is nothing more sexy than a pair of simple sandals accented with an eye-catching pedicure. Casual is beautiful, and sandals can be worn with everything – jeans, shorts, leggings, dresses, skirts. They give off a more playful, down to earth vibe and allow you to walk for miles while enjoying the long-awaited sunshine. Worried about legs looking short? Why not get sandals with a tiny wedge to give add the illusion of length? I love the gladiator sandal as it’s causal but still adds a bit of intrigue to any outfit.

Capri’s Are My Favorite

Capri’s are one of my favorite articles of spring clothing. They are not quite shorts but not full length pants either. They’re great after a long winter and your still feeling a bit too pale to break out the short. They are super versatile. You can dress them up with some heeled mules, or dress them down with your favorite pair of kicks. You can wear them with pearls and a cardigan or with your favorite hoodie. You can be 5 to 65 years old and they are always age appropriate. I have a pair in almost every color and am sad when I have to put them away for winter and so happy to see them again because then I can be sure it’s spring.

I Love To Shop Here!

One of my favorite places to shop is MJR Fashion Outlet. They are only open to the public on the weekends during the day, but they have the BEST deals I have ever seen on clothing. They buy their stuff from catalogs like Lane Bryant, Avenue, and Victoria’s Secret and sell it for pennies on the dollar. They sell returns, overstocks, samples, and damages. I only buy from the overstock sections for plus-sized women. I have gotten so many good deals here. My best deal to date was paying only 90 cents for a pair of brand new, tag still attached, knit lounge shorts! In fact, on that particular day of shopping, I got 8 pairs of these shorts, a tank top, and a pair of knit pajama pants all for under $15.00! I go there about once a month and never know what I am going to find. I am hoping to get some great summer shorts there next time I visit!

My Favorite Springtime Clothing

When spring comes around I always dig out my peddle-pusher. These are often called Capri pants, and they’re the same thing. But these are the perfect piece of clothing for spring because it’s mid-way between long pants and shorts. Plus, they’re sold in so many cute styles with bright colors and patterns. You can get them with embroidered patterns like palm trees, in jeans styles, and many others. I prefer cotton Capri pants with a flat front. Plus, I’m rather short, so I always shop for these pants at a petite store because if you’re short and you buy regular length Capri’s, you end up looking like you’re wearing high-water pants!

Ann Taylor Loft Women’s Clothes

My favorite place to shop is at Ann Taylor Loft. I am a teacher and it is very hard to find an appropriate wardrobe, but here they have everything I need. They also give a discount to teachers that shop there which is an added bonus. I have bought whole outfits through their website and I am able to mix and match my wardrobe. I love to buy sweaters and cardigans from this store because they can go with anything and make you look professional. I recently bought a Water Color Printed Cardigan for $60 and it looks amazing. I am waiting for the summer selections to come out to purchase shorts and summer blouses for work. Even though outfits there tend to get pricey, they are well made and last a long time.

Fashion Street, Mumbai, India

Firstly – Bargaining is the custom when shopping at street vendors in India, so please slash the price in half before anything else. India is a huge supplier of garments and beaded / faux jewelry to the international market and major department stores. This has created a local market in Bombay for any defective, stolen, surplus inventory. But by and large the clothes are of good quality, trendy, and probably the cheapest anywhere in the world. There are good bargains to be found if you know how to go about it.

You get anything for women’s clothing here. Ranging from all types of indian dresses like sarees, salwars, chudis, etc.

Stick to the casual stuff: shorts, shirts, t-shirts, summery dresses, cotton clothing.

If he says 200 you say 100, if he says 80 you say 40… and stick to it, maybe a little over that’s all.
If you can walk away with paying 50-60% of the asked price your OK.
