ATTENDING A SUMMER WEDDING – FASHION TIPS

Wedding in a summer is cool and enjoyable. But deciding on what to wear for the wedding is the most problematic one. Here are few fashion tips that can help you while attending a wedding in a summer:

• Dresses with good floral designs go well in summer. They look cool and vibrant. You can choose dress with big floral designs.

• Pastel colours are the best choices for summer. Colours like pink, blue add more grace to your look.

• Do not concentrate more for hair dressing. Loose or simple hair dressing will give a pleasing effect. You can also avoid a great mess caused by sweating.

• Light make-up is the best one. You will not look good with bad mascara or a makeup that has started to fade away.

• Simple sandals make a good choice during summer.

Nautical Fashions for Spring

One of my favorite springtime fashion tips are keeping all things nautical– even when it’s cold! I will wear navy and white stripes with a Kelly green skirt to brighten up my gloomy gray day. I have little navy anchor earrings that dangle from my lobes, and white and sky bracelets woven from rope to accessorize. I use my red hobo bag that I added a white anchor appliqué on it to keep the nautical feeling strong. A little red ribbon to pull my hair back sets off the look nicely without going overboard on the sailor look! I find that when I am wearing something nautical, it feels like summer is approaching quicker with each spring that becomes balmier.

My favorite piece of spring clothing for women

March 8, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Being a woman, I am very much concerned about my attire. I have a deep passion for a rich variety of clothing that I could drape on myself. In Spring, I would like to wear short skirts and tank tops because Spring is the season which comes immediately after winter, the horrible season where we always need to wear our jackets, gloves, hoods and boots.

Spring is an excellent season bringing relief to us from the jackets. I always love to wear short skirts and tank tops as I feel myself comfortable with them. Generally I do shop at a variety of places. But the place where I frequently go is the JCPenney.

Clothes that I buy at JCPenney are really worth for their excellent quality and lifetime. Recently I bought a few skirts in JCPenney, their prices ranging between $25 – $55. The tank tops were damn cheap there because there was a Clearance sale and I made use of the excellent opportunity. I bought a few tank tops ranging between $9 to $15.

Monsoon Clothing

If I were ever wealthy enough, I think I would buy all my clothes from Monsoon. I love the quality of their clothes, and the fabrics they use, many of which are natural. Although there is most definitely a Monsoon “look”, they somehow manage to come out with something new and exciting each season, and the formula never seems to date. Consequently, I tend to find that things I have bought there stay in my wardrobe for many years, and become favourite pieces that I can always rely on. I have a beautiful grey jumper, which is just perfect when I want to be dressy in cold weather. It has a polo neck, and cabling down the front, with subtly toned grey sequins that lift it above an everyday garment. It’s very soft and warm, and I always feel good in it. I also have another piece of knitwear, a pale blue, chunky cardigan with a hood. It’s wonderfully huge and comfortable, and it looks great with jeans. Even though it’s a casual style, I can wear it as a jacket with a skirt. Sometimes I cuddle up in it on chilly evenings. Whenever I wear it, people always admire it. That’s one of the great things about Monsoon, though. Lots of their pieces are timeless, understated and elegant, but with a certain something that draws compliments.

Spring Sundresses

I really like to wear lightweight sundresses in the spring. Even though the temperature in the early spring can still be a little brisk, it still feels great to put on a fun little dress and step out in those rays. My favorite is a yellow lightly floral patterned cotton dress with spaghetti straps. It comes to just above my knees and is mildly figure slimming.

I love the way it makes me feel and look forward to the chances I get to put it on every year. It was a great $20 buy a few years back and when winter comes around I’m sad to have to push it into the back of the closet for the season.

Kohl’s Department Store is an excellent place to shop for women’s clothing whether you are petite, average, or plus-size. Prices are generally low to moderate, and there’s a variety of brands to suit any Fashionista’s current style, from newly acquired Dana Buchman to Daisy Fuentes, Apt. 9, and Simply Vera by Vera Wang. Basics like jeans and tanks are also available. Make sure to check out their seasonal clearance items – where prices can be slashed up to 80% off. Recently purchased: an Apt. 9 bubble-stitch cardigan, originally priced at $70, but on clearance for $28! You just can’t beat their deals for contemporary trends!

Kohl’s is my favorite department store to shop for women’s clothing because they always have amazing sales going on. They also have my favorite brands and styles. Kohl’s carries casual, business, and evening wear clothing for women. I am the kind of shopper who shops for an occasion. I can always find something to fit what I’m looking for when I go to Kohl’s. They have a very large selection in a variety of sizes too. The store usually has the most up-to-date fashions. There clearance racks offer some super deals at the end of the seasons too. My charge card at Kohl’s lets me buy clothing even when I’m short on cash at the time I need something.

ShopBop – Women’s Clothing and Accessories

My favorite place to shop for woman clothes and accessories is indefinitely online shopping sites. Why? Well because I can find different brands ranging from low end pieces to designer deals easily, also the selection and choice online is way better than what you find in store. One of my favorite websites is www.shopbop.com, I just love the mix they carry, from designer jeans, the core basic, great leather accessories, shoes and then the high end designer fashion. You can also get good deals and discount as online websites always have some kind of discount codes going around. Shopbop also provides free standard shipping and a very flexible return and exchange policy, so it’s basically shopping from the comfort of your own home without the mall crowds or any sales assistants breathing down your necks.

Spring & Summer Floral Prints

My favorite piece of spring clothing has to be a floral skirt. Florals were hot last spring and winter and will continue to be popular this spring.

My personal favorite is a silk skirt with brightly colored flowers that I purchased from Express. This is a very versatile piece that will take you from early spring into summer. In the early spring you can pair it with a fitted top, tights, and heels. As the weather warms up you can bare your legs and pair it with sandals. You can also pair it with a blazer for the office. The options are endless. Have fun shopping!

My Fashion Tip – Layers

March 3, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

My fashion tip: layers, layers, layers! I am a big fan of layering clothing, especially now with this wacky weather. When it’s super hot one day, and cool and crisp the next, it’s great to have the ability to take off or put on a layer. Layers are also great for adding depth to an outfit. Your look will be instantly more interesting if you successfully layer a light sweater over a dress. Pairing that idea with a sleek blazer allows you to transition flawlessly from day to into night. This might sound like it could get a little bulky but the point is to wear items that are light enough to layer, allowing your outfit to be both comfortable and interesting.
