My Halloween Sweatshirt
October 27, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Halloween is my favorite holiday, and that makes my appliqued sweatshirt with the spooky trick-or-treaters my favorite fall garment. I bought it at a discount store, and I don’t remember which one. It is black, and I always wash it with care because I wear it every year. I am the owner of an idle and obsolete dairy barn where hayrides and fall parties are held, so I have ample opportunity to wear this garment. Each and every occasion is a joy. The sweatshirt features a wizard, a pumpkin bear, and a skeleton, along with various seasonal motifs incorporated into the design.
Red Orvis Embroidered Vest

Autumn’s here and it’s time to bring out the fall specialty clothing. My favorite garment for this time of year is an embroidered vest I bought from the Orvis website. It’s a rich shade of red with an embroidered design of leaves and fruit that has an Old World look, almost like tapestry. I always get a lot of compliments when I wear the vest to parties and dinners. The great thing about it is that I can throw it on over basic pieces and get a variety of looks. It can dress up jeans for an informal night out. With a white blouse and a long skirt it goes to the concert hall or a dinner dance. Being the thrifty type, I really like to purchase investment pieces that will go with a lot of different things and won’t go out of style from one year to the next.
Love My Ugg Boots

Fall is the perfect time in the year to start wearing the most popular pair of boots around, Ugg Boots! Although these boots sometimes receive negative feedback from males stating how “ugg-ly” they are, they are quite the opposite for women who have tried wearing them. Ugg boots are by far the most comfortable pair of boots that are out there. While wearing these boots, you feel like you are walking in fur heaven. These boots come in various sizes as well as various colors ranging from pink & purple to black. You can get varying heights of the boots as to where they fall on your leg. There are so many options to choose from you’ll never be able to get enough!
Dark Brown and Tan Patterned Dress

My favorite fall dress is a dark brown and tan patterned dress with slight bubble sleeves that hit right at my elbow. I wear a light colored cardigan and tall chocolate brown boots with it. It has a low (but work-appropriate) neckline and falls just above the knee, and somehow manages to look slim without huggin my body at all. It is incredibly comfortable while still looking stylish and just sexy enough. I always get compliments and appraising looks, and I feel very confident in the ensemble. I purchased this on clearance from Ann Taylor Loft a couple years ago, and I’ve probably worn it enough to give it the lowest “cost per wear” of any item I own. I primarily wear it to work, but I tend to save it for days when I have after work plans.

Messy Braids in the Fall

My personal favorite way to wear my hair for falls are messy braids. It doesn’t matter what hair color or style you have, you can’t go wrong with braids. There’s not really much effort to put in, no need to blow dry, or straighten. And because they’re messy braids, you don’t have to be a pro. It doesn’t take much time or material, just a brush to tame hair and hair elastics to hold braids together. I usually do two braids, one on each side. I also have side bangs, and my hair is angled on the sides to frame my face. I keep these out of the braids. This makes it look more adult like and not childish, like most people relate braids to. In this hair style, you feel relaxed, but also stylish. You could also top this look off with a cute cowgirl hat, which adds to the fall style.
Fall Womens Clothes At Ross

My favorite place to shop for women’s fall clothes is Ross. They have such a large variety of styles, prices, brands, and sizes that there is something for everyone. Some of my favorite brands that they carry include LEI, J. Crew, Sketchers, and Paris Blues. These are fairly expensive brands but you are able to get them for atleast half the cost. I was able to purchase a beautiful plum colored J. Crew sweater, a pair of Paris Blues denim jeans, a pair of Sketcher casual shoes, and a genuine leather handbag for under one hundred dollars. That is such a bargain! I am unable to upload anything for this hit??? But here is my paragraph.
Womens Fall Hair Tips

I like to wear my hair longer for the fall. I usually go and just ask for them to trim the ends, but then add long layers and some shorter layers around my face. I also like to have the side swept bangs for fall and into winter. Darker, richer colors also seem more appropriate for fall. I usually go with a dark chocolate brown, but even deep reds and dark blonde would look great. You can also throw in a few highlights around the face to brighten it up. If I don’t plan on wearing my hair down, I usually only pull it half way up or into a low ponytail.
Womens fall fashion tips

When reading fashion magazines the mix and match concept is the key. Whether you are dressing for work or a social event you don’t want to wear or even appear to be wearing what your associates, friends or relatives remember seeing you in before. If you mix it up and at the same time keep the staples simple you can have a huge assortment of options without breaking you bank. For fall it’s great to add some bright colored accessories like a red purse, a turquoise sweater or deep purple jacket. That little black dress you wore to an evening office party looks totally different when worn with a jacket or sweater. Keep a calendar on the wall of your closet and mark down when you wore your bright accessories as a reminder.
Girls Tan Classic Short Ugg Boots
October 18, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
This may seem silly, but I have a pair of tan “classic short” UGG boots that I wear almost every morning after I am done with my morning surf session. What can I say? I’m a Southern California girl. A boyfriend bought them for me as a Christmas gift. I don’t get many comments on them locally, because quite a few people have similar boots that they wear with shorts, jeans, or dresses. When I travel and bring them along, however, I have received quite a few comments on them. It seems that the boots + shorts combo isn’t universal by any means … my mother (who was raised in New York) is horrified by the notion. I love wearing my UGGs because they are so comfortable, and the Bohemian style makes me feel free and fun loving. I an amazed by how long they have lasted – I think they will turn ten this winter.
